The Aurora College P&C Association will hold its foundation meeting as a Zoom online meeting in the last week of term on Wednesday 16 December 2020 at 7:00 pm (AEDT).
The meeting will vote to adopt the Constitution, Rules of Association and Rules of the Executive Committee, and elect the inaugural Executive. Click here to view the meeting agenda. This will be a public meeting and you are very welcome to join; however, pre-registration with your name and email address is needed to attend the Zoom meeting. You can register for the meeting here. Connection details and a meeting agenda will be forwarded to all registered attendees. Registration will close at 4:00 pm (AEDT) on Wednesday 16 December.
If you wish to vote at the meeting, you must also become a member. Parents and Carers of current, past and future Aurora students are eligible to be P&C members, as are Aurora teachers and staff, and all adult residents of the Aurora catchment area (i.e. in localities with Rural and Remote schools as listed here). The membership fee is $5, and it must be paid to Aurora by credit/debit card via the college website. Please follow the instructions below if you wish to become a member. Note that to be able to vote, your membership payment must be received on or before Tuesday 15 December 2020; however, you can become a P&C member now even if you don’t attend the foundation meeting.
If you wish to nominate for an executive position, you should pay the membership fee and then follow the nomination instructions below. You may nominate for as many positions as you wish, but you can only take up one position. Nominations will close at 4:00 pm (AEDT) on Monday 14 December 2020, two days before the meeting, and can only be accepted from paid-up members.

Detailed instructions (please follow carefully)
1. Student details section. Do not enter real student details. Instead, enter:
Given Name: Aurora
Date of Birth: 21/10/2020 (Just type the numbers, not the “/”s.)
(Leave all other fields blank, and click ‘Next Section‘.)
2. Contact Details
Enter your Name, Phone number and Email Address, then click ‘Next Section‘.
3. Payment items
Payment Type: (Select ‘Other‘ from the dropdown list)
Description: P&C Membership
Amount: (Enter at least $5. You are very welcome to make an additional donation.)
Click ‘Next Section‘.
4. Card Details section
Enter your card details and click ‘Proceed to Confirmation‘.
Note: By applying for membership you acknowledge that you are an Aurora Parent/Carer, Teacher, Staff member, or an adult resident of the Aurora College catchment area, and you agree to be bound by the Constitution, Rules, and Policies adopted or amended by majority vote at meetings of the Aurora College P&C Association.
A payment receipt will be generated immediately, and your P&C Membership receipt will be sent to the email address you supplied after your application has been processed.
The executive positions which will be filled at the foundation meeting are President, Vice President (Fundraising and Grants), Vice President (Student Wellbeing), Secretary, Treasurer, Coordinator (Student Wellbeing), and possibly Assistant Secretary and Assistant Treasurer. Please select from these according to your skills and experience.
